Background

On June 22, 2016, the U.S. president Obama signed into law the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (the “Lautenberg Act”). It’s the first time the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) has been substantively amended in the past 40 years since its enactment. The amended TSCA gives EPA the authority to conduct risk evaluation and risk management processes to ensure the safe use of chemical substances in commerce.

This webinar will provide an overview of TSCA and possible impacts brought by the new law.
